Frequently asked questions

Everything about what Alef Solutions is, what the modules do, and how pricing works. Not answered here? Ask us directly.

What is Alef Solutions?

Alef Solutions is modular, all-in-one business management software for small and mid-sized businesses. You subscribe to the modules you need — inventory, CRM, point of sale, scheduling and classes, website builder, tasks, and knowledge/SOPs — and they all run in one system with one login and shared records.

How much does Alef Solutions cost?

Two parts. Running the platform is a per-user subscription — $45 per user each month, dropping to $35 (11–25 users) and $25 (25+). Building your system to your workflows is a separate, scoped one-time fee — or take it as it's built at no build cost. Business Tools is free to start. See the pricing page for details.

What does the Inventory module include?

Items with lot tracking and serial number tracking, GS1 barcodes and GS1-128 label printing with a built-in label template designer, barcode scanning (handheld scanner or phone camera), receiving against purchase orders, put-away, transfers, staged stock counts, stock adjustments, inventory valuation, production runs, and a QA quarantine release queue.

Does Alef Solutions support lot tracking and expiry dates?

Yes. Items can be tracked by lot with expiry-aware stock and full movement history, which is what food, beverage, cosmetics, and other regulated businesses need for recalls and traceability.

Does Alef Solutions track serial numbers?

Yes. Serialized items get a per-unit registry with history from receiving through sale, alongside or instead of lot tracking — tracking is configured per item.

Can I print GS1 barcode labels with Alef Solutions?

Yes. The Inventory module includes a visual label template designer and a print queue for GS1-128 and item barcode labels — no separate label software is required.

What barcode scanners does Alef Solutions work with?

Any keyboard-wedge handheld scanner works out of the box, and every scannable field also supports phone-camera scanning. Scanner behavior is configurable in the scanner settings.

Does Alef Solutions combine inventory, POS, and CRM in one system?

Yes — that is the core design. Inventory, point of sale, CRM, orders, and scheduling share one customer record and one item catalog, so a sale at the POS, an order from your storefront, and a CRM deal all reference the same data.

Does Alef Solutions have class scheduling and attendance?

Yes. The scheduling modules cover classes, events, and meetings with seasons, rosters, and attendance check-in — built for studios, schools, and other class-based businesses.

Can Alef Solutions run my website and online store?

Yes. The Website module is a builder for public sites and forms, with storefront orders flowing into the same system that runs your inventory and customer records.

Is Alef Solutions a good fit for manufacturing?

For light manufacturing and food production, yes: production runs consume components and produce finished goods with their own lots and labels, and purchasing feeds receiving in the same system.

Is Alef Solutions cloud-based?

Yes. Alef Solutions is web-based software (SaaS) — there is nothing to install, and it works on desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers.

How is Alef Solutions different from Odoo, Zoho, or QuickBooks?

The short version: they hand you a platform to configure (or hire someone to). We build your system to how you work and deliver it running, with operational depth — lots, serials, GS1 labels, scan-first warehouse flows — built in. We keep honest side-by-side pages at alef.solutions/compare, including when each alternative is the better fit.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new account starts with a 30-day free trial — no credit card required. Sign up, deploy a module, and try it on your real workflows before paying anything.

Does Alef Solutions offer implementation services?

Yes — white-glove implementation is the heart of the business. An engagement covers structured onboarding and data collection, modules built to your workflows, integrations, data loading, and team training, delivered as a trained, running system. Full system modules typically start around $10,000; larger multi-module programs are quoted per engagement. See alef.solutions/services.

How do I get started?

Create an account at alef.solutions/signup to deploy an off-the-shelf module, or use the inquiry form to talk through a customized setup. Off-the-shelf modules are typically live within a couple of weeks; customized modules are scoped per engagement and typically deliver in one to two months.
