Scan-first receiving and put-away
Receiving is staged the way the dock actually works: receive against a purchase order, check quantities, then put away to warehouse locations — with barcode scanning as the primary input at every step. Use a handheld wedge scanner or the phone camera; both work on every field that identifies an item, lot, serial, or location.

Does Alef Solutions support both lot tracking and serial numbers?
Yes. Items can be tracked by lot, by serial number, or untracked — per item. Lots carry expiry and traceability history; serials carry per-unit history from receiving to sale.
Can I print GS1-128 labels without separate label software?
Yes. The module includes a label template designer and print queue; GS1-128 and item barcode labels print directly from receiving, production, or on demand.
What barcode scanners work with it?
Any keyboard-wedge handheld scanner works without configuration, and every scannable field also accepts phone-camera scanning — you choose the preference in scanner settings.
