The van, the stops, and the stock that left the building

A route is only useful if it knows what is on the van. Plan the stops in one system and hold the stock in another and you get the classic delivery day: a driver arrives, the part is not there, and nobody finds out until the customer calls. Here the route, the load and the item records are the same system.

A day of routes, and a route of stops

Routes are planned per day and opened as an ordered list of stops you can reorder as the day changes. Reordering saves the whole sequence, so the record is the plan rather than a snapshot of an earlier one.

  • Day list of planned routes, and a detail view per route
  • Ordered stops with reorder — the day is re-plannable, not fixed at 6am
  • Stops carry the job they belong to, so the route and the work are one record set

Load the van from real stock

The van is a warehouse like any other. Loading it is a depot list rather than a note, and what goes on it comes off the same item records as everything else.

  • A load list per van, built from what the day's work actually needs
  • Van stock replenished, counted and valued like any other warehouse
  • What left the van is what left the business — no end-of-month reconciliation

Whole-day planning, honestly labelled

Splitting a whole day across crews is the premium half and it is sold as an add-on. The screen is the same either way; the plan-day action is what you are buying.

  • Manual routing and stop ordering are part of dispatch
  • Automatic whole-day planning across crews is the Route Optimisation add-on
  • We say which is which rather than implying optimisation you have not bought

Questions buyers ask

Does it automatically optimise the route for me?

Planning a whole day across crews is the Route Optimisation add-on module. Building and reordering routes and stops by hand is part of dispatch and needs no add-on. We separate them on the page because a route planner that quietly means "drag the stops yourself" is the most common bait in this category.

Does the van's stock actually come off our inventory?

Yes. A van is a warehouse record like any other, so what is loaded onto it and used from it moves through the same item records as the rest of your stock, and it is counted and valued the same way.

Can a driver work from a phone?

Yes — the "My Day" view is built for a phone rather than a desk, showing the day's work and the detail of each stop. It reads and writes the same records the office sees.

We only do a handful of deliveries a day. Is this overkill?

Probably, if all you want is a list of addresses. It earns its place when the stops are tied to jobs and stock — when the question stops being "where next" and starts being "did the right parts leave the building, and what did that day cost".
