Quote it, wire it, certify it, invoice it — without three systems
Electrical work is quoted before it is done and certified after. The quote, the job, the equipment that went in and the invoice usually live in four places, which is why the margin on a job is only ever known in hindsight. Here they reference one customer and one item catalogue.
The quote is signed where the job is raised
A quote can be sent for signature and comes back attached to the customer it belongs to, rather than to an inbox.
- Documents and e-signature as a module you can add to the job flow
- The signed document sits on the same customer record as the work
- Jobs raised, scheduled and moved on one board
Boards, breakers and equipment keep their serials
Serial-tracked equipment stays attached to the job it was installed on, which is what makes a warranty claim or a callback start from a record.
- Serial and lot tracking through to what was fitted on site
- One item catalogue behind inventory, purchasing and jobs
- Van stock replenished, counted and valued like any other warehouse
Costing that admits what it does not know
A job costs materials plus labour, and where a number is an estimate the screen says so instead of dressing it up.
- Materials and labour rolled up per job
- Estimated figures marked as estimated, and flagged as not tying to the ledger
- Revenue, cost and margin by customer, job, item or cost centre

Questions operators ask
Can we send a quote and have it signed without another tool?
Documents & E-Signature is one of the modules, so a quote can be sent for signature and the signed copy lands on the same customer record as the job. It is a module you add rather than something bundled into a suite you did not want.
Does equipment we install stay traceable?
Yes, where it is serial or lot tracked. The tracking carries through to the parts fitted on site, so the record of what went in is attached to the job rather than reconstructed from a photo of a label.
Can we assign work to a specific electrician?
Yes. A job is assigned to an employee for a time window, and the board flags the two things that go wrong — the person is double-booked, or the job needs a skill they are not tagged with. Assignment is a warning, not a block: it tells you and lets you do it anyway, because sometimes you have to.
We are five people. Is this too much system?
You buy the modules you use, per person, rather than a platform licence — so a five-person contractor holding Field Service and Inventory pays for exactly that. And if the shape of it does not fit how you work, the software is changed to fit; that is the part a large off-the-shelf system cannot offer you.
