Quoted in spring, installed in summer, warrantied for twenty years

A solar job has the longest tail of any trade on this list. The quote is signed months before the install, the install runs across days, and the equipment carries a warranty that outlives most of the software people buy to track it. What matters is that the serial fitted on a roof in 2026 is still attached to that job when someone calls in 2041.

The quote is signed, and the signature is provable

Sent for signature and returned onto the customer record, with an audit certificate behind it — who signed, when, from which IP.

  • Documents and e-signature as a module you add to the job flow
  • The signed copy cannot be downloaded before it is signed
  • The customer signs without creating an account

Every inverter and panel keeps its serial

Serial-tracked equipment stays attached to the job it was installed on. Twenty years of warranty is only worth as much as the record of what actually went on the roof.

  • Serial and lot tracking through to the equipment fitted on site
  • One item catalogue behind inventory, purchasing and jobs
  • Materials and labour roll up per job, with estimates marked as estimates

An install that runs across days

The work is scheduled and rescheduled on one board, assigned to people for a time window, with a warning when someone is double-booked or missing a required skill.

  • Jobs raised, scheduled and moved through their states in one place
  • Assignment warns on a clash or a missing skill rather than blocking
  • A return visit links to the job it repeats, with a required reason

Questions operators ask

Will we know which inverter is on which roof in ten years?

Where the equipment is serial tracked, yes. The serial stays attached to the job it was installed on and to the customer record, so a warranty claim starts from a record rather than an install photo somebody has to find.

Can we get the quote signed before we order the equipment?

Yes. Documents & E-Signature is a module you add; the quote is sent for signature, the customer signs with no account, and the signed copy lands on the same record as the job — with an audit certificate that makes it defensible later.

Do you do system design, yield modelling or panel layout?

No. There is no design, shading or yield-modelling tool here, and no MCS or scheme paperwork. Keep using whatever you design in; this handles the quote, the schedule, the equipment record and what the job actually cost.

Do you monitor generation after handover?

No — there is no inverter monitoring or generation feed. That comes from the manufacturer's own platform. What is here is the installation record the monitoring cannot give you: what was fitted, by whom, on which job, at what cost.
